2006 North American International Detroit Auto Show
Car-lovers have so much from the starting of the year to look forward to with the 2006 North American International Show that will be held in early January. The Detroit Auto Show in Los Angeles will introduce nearly 70 new cars and concept vehicles. A number of brands will debut its concept cars like Daimler Chrysler will unveil a retro-inspired Dodge Challenger coupe which will feature a chassis derived from Chrysler’s 300C/Magnum twins. Chrysler is also rumored to debut its stretched-wheelbase Imperial concept which is styled in the direction of Rolls Royce Phantom.
The other concept cars that will make their debut includes Soul by Kia, Hyundai’s HCD-9 Talus, Nissan URGE concept that will feature a high-reviving small-displacement engine, 6-speed manual gearbox, brushed aluminum alloy wheels, color-infused aluminum body panels and a driver-oriented cockpit with an integrated Xbox 360. Mazda will also debut its Kabura compact sports coupe that is also expected to go into production along with BMW that will introduce its Z4 Coupe Concept and the X3 Active Hybrid Concept. The show will also be showcasing a number of low-price vehicles too along with the luxury cars like Volkwagen EOS convertible, Porsche Cayman S, Audi Q7 luxury SUV, Ford’s Shelby GT 500 Mustang, 2007 Licoln Aviator in its new colours and the new upscale Mercedes-Benz GL-Class.
The show will also showcase the most expensive production automobile Bugatti veyron with its 1,000hp and 16 cylinder quad turbo. So, all-in-all the show will showcase entry-level models to the high-end models along with the concept beauties!
