2013 McLaren MP4-12C Spider to sell for $302,830
It’s been exactly a year now since the McLaren MP4-12C went on sale and since McLaren Automotive began its impressively massive worldwide expansion of McLaren retailers which now stretches to 38 in 22 countries worldwide. With the production launch of highly advanced road-going supercar MP4-12C, we actually saw the rebirth of a company that has not had a distinct production vehicle for more than a decade. Now, while any high-heeled fan of supercars has the first McLaren MP4-12C beast in its garage, one might want to consider adding its newest version, the stunning, lightweight and powerful luxury convertible with a unique Retractable Hard Top, the 12C Spider, offering the prospective owners a unique combination of spectacular performance and remarkable usability.

In the new 12C Spider, McLaren Formula 1 DNA actually meets the thrill of open top driving as the car proudly boasts a unique retractable Hard Top (RHT) that can be operated at speeds up to 30 kph, that too at the touch of a button.

With a ultra-lightweight and high powered engine that develops an astounding 625 PS (616 bhp) power, carbon ‘MonoCell’ chassis, and unique RHT folding roof system, the 12C Spider is truly a luxury convertible supercar.

Exclusively available to order from bespoke McLaren’s new worldwide retailers, the 12C Spider will be priced $302,830 in the United Kingdom. Interestingly, the automaker has also planned five deliveries to the customers for November this year only.

The MP4-12C Spider owners will love the facility to lower down the roof and hear the unhindered howl of a powerful V8 twin turbo engine at full throttle. This feature will undoubtedly enhance the already euphoric driving experience of 12C. Additionally, it only takes 17 seconds to raise or lower down the Retractable Hard Top, which can be operated using a switch in the lower section of the center console inside the cabin. And, a windscreen behind the driver and passenger seats may also be electronically lowered and raised.

Further, the supercar’s impressive 616 bhp power unleashed from its powerful 3.8 liter V8 twin turbo engine is transmitted to its rear driven wheels through a reliable 7 Speed SSG dual-cluth transmission, which itself provides lightning-fast gear changes.

On the inside, the 12C boasts an exclusively new and luxurious interior trim which has been especially developed for this model. Further, through a glass-screen behind the car’s tonneau cover, a clear view of the car’s M838T powerplant is also available.

And, vehicle’s dynamics technology includes ProActive Chassis Control, unique Brake Steer and the exclusive McLaren Airbrake, which combines to offer a true riding comfort in all driving conditions.

McLaren Automotive also encourages the prospective buyers and sports cars fans to visit the exclusively new 12C Spider online configurator, and discover a range of exciting options that may be specified in millions of unique combinations.
