21 Blackjack watch – When every move is being watched

Andrea Divirgilio / March 16, 2011

We have earlier seen watches inspired by popular casino games for the elite casino lovers, including the casino-themed party collection by Piaget. Now for the blackjack lovers, watch manufacturer Christophe Claret has created yet another limited edition timepiece, the 21 Blackjack. The timepiece is the third model under the Christophe Claret brand after the DualTow and the Adagio. The 21 Blackjack is a miniature casino, designed to keep you hooked to your favorite casino games: dice, roulette and cards. The watch features a pair of miniature dice, 1.5 mm on each side, with striking mechanism; when shaken the dice can be used by one or more players. The watch complete adopts the card game, even the bell rings!

“On the lower part of the dial, the player’s four cards appear in windows, the upper part of the dial are three additional windows for the dealer’s cards, one of which is visible, the other two also hidden by shutters.”

The back of the watch features the winding rotor, which is visible through a glare proofed sapphire crystal, to serve as the roulette wheel.

The luxury timepiece features an automatic movement, with approx. 72-hour power reserve, 501 parts, 40 jewels and 7 double ceramic ballbearing mechanisms. The case is available in gray titanium, black PVD-treated titanium, and 18K white gold or 18K pink gold. The dial reflects the casino motifs to reflect its playful design theme.

The Blackjack watch is available in limited edition of 21 watches per series, which will range around €200,000 (from $183,765 to $216,580). The watch will be unveiled at Baselworld 2011.
