We have earlier introduced you to the world’s most expensive and impressive bicycles and now, we have the 24-carat gold-plated Brompton S2L bike, which is up for grabs at eBay. The bike was offered as a prize by the Environmental Transport Association (ETA) last year. The lightweight bike from the house of Brompton was customized and given a gilded makeover as part of a competition for an insurance company. Since the bike was too blingy for its owner, he tried to make it a proper rideable Brompton bike by opting for white plastic bar grips and white specialized Brooks saddle.

A spokesperson for the Environmental Transport Association (ETA) said…

The person selling the gold Brompton has made further modifications since acquiring the bike – it will certainly turn heads for any future owner.

Other notable modifications include a 24-carat gold-plated frame, two Goldfinger brake levers, Jagwire gold braid brake cables, Poolball gear lever mechanism, gold capped spokes, 8 ball style inner tube caps, red stop cock handles on frame and front stem bolts, gold colored leather bar grips and skateboard roller wheels.

The 24-carat gold-plated Brompton S2L bike is available at eBay with a “Buy It Now” price of £1,999 (about $3,100).
