$6100 Gnarboards electric skateboard Trail Rider is for Formula One enthusiasts
Defined as modified skateboard propelled by an electric engine, the electric skateboards are now becoming a cool, hip and amazingly fast way to get around the town in style. Earlier, we have seen the conventional but aesthetically stylish skateboards that generally work in one downhill direction, like the Louis Bradier’s carbon fiber longboard, the world’s first telematics enabled racing board by Stealth Division, besides the recently launched special edition weight-sensing electric skateboards by Z-board with a completely electronic design and a top speed of 17 miles per hour. But, this time we have got an incredibly powerful electric skateboard developed by Gnarboards; the Trail Rider that does unconventional things like accelerating from 0-45 km/h in a whip of 1.9 seconds, faster than 90% of road cars.
Dedicated to building the best electric skateboards, Gnarboards featured its latest electric skatboard Trail Rider with an extraordinary power, higher ground clearance and all-terrain tires, delivering unmatched off-road performance.
Weighing 39 kg, this 4WD aluminum skate deck gets its power from a quartet of electric motors, with each one delivering 850W of output to help the Trail Rider achieve much better acceleration than every on-road car. Further, it runs 26 km with a single charge, which only takes around 2-hours to complete from a completely spent full-charged battery.
Through a double-ended, wired hand trigger, the rider himself controls all that raw power. And, the power gets engaged by squeezing the power toggle in one direction, while squeezing it in the opposite direction engages the regenerative brakes. Further, the Rachet-Style MBS Foot Bindings keep the riders intact, atop the skateboard while its exclusive all-terrain tires allow this electric skateboard to conquer grassy campus knolls, office parks and hiking trails with ease.
Trail Rider doesn’t come cheap, interested riders has to splash out a total of $6,100 to get on this biggest, fastest and ultra-powerful electric skateboard. Ganrboards also manufactures other smaller versions, like the Commuter that accelerates from 0-28 mph in 3.0 seconds is available at a price of $4,800 and the Road Warrior that can accelerate from 0-28 mph in 2.8 seconds comes with a price tag of $5,500.
