Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan

Initially known as Aishwarya Rai, Ash, as she is lovingly called by the industry, became Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan after her marriage with Abhiskek Bachchan. Often referred to as the most beautiful woman of the World, Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan came to the limelight when she won the pageant of Miss World in 1994. She started off her career as a model when she was still in her school, studying in the ninth standard. The Miss World pageant helped her secure firm footsteps in the film industry. Post 1994, she appeared in the lead role of many big banner movies. She has worked with many heavyweight actors, directors and producers since then. However, she had always been loyal to the world of modeling and continues to be the brand ambassador of some of the international brands of the world.

Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan reached the horizon of success at a rapid rate and at a very young age. Thus, Ash holds a property of net worth $35 million at present. Although a resident of Mumbai, India, Ashwarya Rai-Bachan and Abhishek Bachchan jointly planned to buy a house in Dubai in the later part of 2010. They commented that they were supposed to spend a sum of nearly $10 million on this Dubai residence. However, they were firm enough to remark that this luxuriant abode in the gulf island was solely their weekend home and the couple does not have any plans of shifting there permanently.

Born to father, Krishnaraj Rai and mother Brindya, Aishwarya Rai’s birthplace is at Mangalore in Karnataka. She was born on November 1, 1973. Her two years long relationship with co-actor Salman Khan was regularly occurring tabloid news from 1999 to 2001 after she entered the film industry. The bitter breakup was followed by a brief relationship with Vivek Oberoi. However, 2007 had been a memorable year in Ash’s life as she met Abhishek Bachchan on the sets of ‘Guru’ during that time. The meeting developed into friendship, which eventually turned into marriage. Thus, Amitabh Bachchan officially announced the engagement of his son, Abhishek with Aishwarya on 14 January 2007, which was followed by a private yet extravagant marriage on 20 April the same year. The couple is still going steady and has a daughter out of the wedlock, named Aaradhya, who was born on 16 November 2011.
