The rapper along with his mother distributed more than 2000 toys on Christmas Eve to the less-fortunate children staying in the metro-Atlanta area. The rapper also teamed up with “The Gidwon foundation” to host the 6th Annual Christmas holiday for children and distributed footballs, soccer balls and other toys to the kids present on the occasion.

Akon supports the “Hip-Hop Summit Action Network”, which is a non-profit, national association of world’s Hip-Hop artists, entertainment industry majors, education promoters, civil rights supporters, and youth leaders to fight against the existing problem of poverty and injustice in the society, in order to bring a social change for the effective betterment of the common people.
