Ascari Ecosse

Ascari Ecosse

It was late 90's when a grand styled, mid-engine drive sports car came out from British automobile manufacturer Ascari, and was named Ascari Ecosse, whose design as well overall concept was based on previous model Ascari FGT. The Ecosse which made its first public appearance in the British GT series that took place early 1999, was probably the first car to bear the unique designed Ascari badge. The car with its uncanny looks was a winner all the way, and went on to win the hearts of millions. With a 5L Hartage-BMW engine generating power of 400 BHP, the car promised a real fast ride while making hopes of winning the big stage in the GT events. With a top speed of 200 mph, the Ecosse had the power to reach from 0- 60 mph in just about 4.2 seconds. Production of Ecosse car models took place only for two years. Within this small time limit, Ascari produced 17 models of the Ecosse series. The Ascari Ecosse A110 model is priced at around $770,000.

Ascari Ecosse is available intermittently through successive decades under its private Brand name.

Interior: The interior of a sportscar is not much to mention about. But wait, the Ascari Ecosse has something real interesting about its interior decoration and features. The car is fitted with extreme light weight seats, electronic window, carbon fiber door panels with internal leather covering, electronically adjustable seats, central locking system (remote controllable), and climate controllable air conditioning device. Driving becomes easier and comfortable with high powered engine that sits just at the mid point of the car. It was Ecosse where the ABS braking facility was first introduced.

Exterior

Exterior: The Ascari Ecosse has a wishbone suspension and spaceframe chassis with a very lightweight glass body, and weighs only a mere 2786 lb. The overall exterior appearance is always a bit similar to its predecessors but by no means can be said identical. Those projector-styled lamps cannot be seen in the Ecosse models. Rather, it features single swapping headlights. The speedster has a much wider aperture and lower front skirt. One thing noticeable is the curvy and large wing made from carbon fiber. The meshed louvers of this wing are cut into rear end for cooling benefits. Fresh outlook is highlighted through the presence of a radiator being introduced just above the rear venturi ducts. Rims are carbon fiber made while the pure alloy wheel spokes have that sporty appearance. Tires fitted in this car are provided by Michelin T. The front AR18 tire measurement is around 265/35 while rear ZR18 is fitted with 345/50. The mid-mounted vehicle was available in colors of copper red, elantric yellow, rustic blue, and greyish black.
