Asprey team up with Langham hotel to launch Jeweled Jubilee tea
With the Queen’s Golden Jubilee ruling the roost when it comes to garnering attention of the moment, luxury brands seem to have declared an unspoken war against each other, in order to get consumers to spend their money on their creations. Some such prime examples include the Bentley Mulsanne diamond jubilee edition sedan, Johnie Walker’s diamond jubilee whisky, and also the Inta diamond studded faucet which is the most expensive bathroom faucet . But for those who would like to enjoy the celebrations and even greet the Queen on her historic day, could head to the Langham Hotel in London for the Jeweled Jubilee Tea. Created jointly by Asprey, who are royal warrant holders from the British royal family, and the hotel’s famous pastry chef Cherish Finden, guests can now taste accompanying delicacies at the cost of £49 ($79.3) per person, having creations from past and present.

With the decoration and crafting that has gone into creating this special Diamond Jubilee edition Tea meal, one would expect a higher price tag but it’s actually on the contrary. The contents of the meal would be Praline truffle, white chocolate truffle ball, and dark chocolate crowning, followed by Pina Colada macaroon, coconut macaroon which is coupled with pineapple pate de fruit and Malibu butter cream. Other delicacies are blueberry and bilberry Battenburg with black current jam, followed by purple jasmine with apricot, jasmine mousse with apricot mousse, and apricot compote on financier base. The last part, but certainly not the least is the blackcurrant and white chocolate mousse with blackcurrant jelly on shortbread. This all sounds a carbohydrate bomb, but coming from the likes of Asprey and Cherish Finden, those would definitely be taken care of. One can avail this special offering at the hotel till October 2012.

There will also be a special weekend vacation for 2 at the Langham Hotel. For the price of 2 nights stay, one can avail the offer for staying on premises for 3 nights along with joining the festivities. Available from the 1st of June, 2012 to the 5th, this offer will entail guests to witness the Thames Jubilee Pageant, and also congratulate the Queen at the Buckingham Palace. If this wasn’t enough, then £500 ($809) package would certainly strike a chord. This Diamond Jubilee Package would involve an English breakfast for 2 people, complementary wireless internet in room, celebratory tea for 2 in the Palm Court outlet, 2 jubilee cocktails at the Artesian, and lastly a copy of the Langham Butler Book as souvenir.
London’s Luxury hotel Langham has earlier teamed up with Stephen Webster for special edition English Afternoon Tea inspired by the jewelry collection known of a renowned British jewelry designer.
