Aston Martin teams with John Lobb for the ultimatel driver’s shoe

We have earlier told you about the luxury car manufacturers teaming up with high-end lifestyle brands to extend their signature brand name and service the demand for auto goods. The automotive-inspired retail items includes everything from apparel, to bags, bikes and shoes. We have earlier told you about Ferrari and Ducati's collaboration for Fila’s concept sneakers. Now, two of the finest British brands, John Lobb and Aston Martin have joined forces for an exclusive project, Winner Sport, to produce what’s being described as the ultimate lightweight driver’s shoe. Motor racing enthusiasts can now admire Aston Martin’s tradition of luxury craftsmanship and performance engineering along with John Lobb’s timeless qualities of shoe craftsmanship, service and style in this exclusive footwear collection.

The new handmade Winner Sport footwear has been co-designed by Andres Hernandez, John Lobb's Creative Director, and Marek Reichman, Aston Martin’s Director of Design. The resulting design is described as a sleek aerodynamic shoe, boasting finely-tuned detailing that speaks to the automobile world while sitting comfortably with the John Lobb’s existing collection of finest boots and shoes for gentleman.

Made from full-grain calfskin and lined with supple sheepskin, Winner Sport collection has been crafted around John Lobb’s 8695 last, a shoe form. With added soft paddling at the ankle, and special metallic eyelets, punched with a wheel of fine holes, it

Winner Sport collection will be first shown at the opening of Aston Martin’s new W-One Store in Park Lane, London, and at the John Lobb, 88 Jermyn Street, London this March. In May this year, collection will also be made available at select John Lobb and Aston Martin worldwide stores.
