Bang & Olufsen’s CD ripping device is a perfect Christmas gift for beginners

Andrea Divirgilio / November 28, 2011

Bang & Olufsen which had earlier given us the Beosound 5 music controlling system has now re-christened the device in the form of a CD ripper and digital music controlling system. Based on intuitive technology, the contents of a CD can be instantly be transferred on to the Beosound 5 system, and played along and as when needed. The main target group of consumers has been those, who prefer having their physical discs present with them, and not depend on storing all music at a single digital source alone, or have not yet accustomed themselves to digital music.

Like the Beosound 5, this system works on a very easy-to-use interface. Simply inserting the CD with digital music content will automatically transfer all of it onto the Beosound, from where it can be retrieved and used accordingly. The device also adds album art, and information related to the song and artist automatically but in case that’s not present, it can be done manually by connecting the system to a computer. The added advantage that users will also avail, is the high quality of the stored music. Every kind of content that gets stored on the Beosound 5 gets relayed in crystal clear digital quality without any compromise on sound output. So, all the older musical stuff still retains the original charm, instead of losing it.

The design just like the former model is a wall-mounted and rather aesthetic piece of equipment. If one has already bought the previous model, than there is no need for worry as the wiring and integration system remains the same. Also, the wiring mechanism is such that the aesthetics of your place are not disturbed by any stretch of means. So, in case if you are looking to begin your Christmas shopping, you now have something to add to the list. If you need more options, do take a look at the B&O Chanterelle collection, which is ideally suited for homes with Scandinavian style interiors.
