Bespoke ‘upcycled’ Aston Martin furniture for racing car enthusiasts

Now, the renowned London-based Aston Martin Heritage specialists, Nicholas Mee & Co. has come up with the ultimate Christmas gift ideas for auto enthusiasts . Under the P.Arts Performance Artworks banner, Nicholas Mee & Company has launched a range of unique and bespoke ‘upcycled’ Aston Martin furniture. The items are actually the result of the company’s exclusive collaboration with artisan engineers ‘Racing Gold’ to upcycle previously used components from Aston Martin racing and road cars into stunning yet functional bespoke furniture items. Available to purchase from NM&Co’s online store, the items include Aston Martin brake caliper iPhone/iPod dock, crankshaft coffee table, propshaft coat stand and tweed covered racing seat.

Notably, P.Arts is also able to accept individual, bespoke commissions from clients, as the design team is brimming with ideas for items that can be created with pre-used Aston Martin parts and components.

Made-to-order Aston Martin Brake Caliper iPhone/iPod dock

Price: $1,595

Created by Racing Gold, this ‘upcycled’ made-to-order Aston Martin brake caliper dock, available in a range of colors, is compatible with iPhones 4, 4S and 5, and recent iPods. With its in-built phonic transfer speaker, the caliper’s mass enhances low frequency sounds through the table’s surface.

The dock comes with lithium ion battery plus charging and audio leads.

V8 Vantage GT4 Crankshaft Table

The V8 Vantage GT4 Crankshaft Table Feature an authentic, refurbished crankshaft that has been ‘upcycled’ from Nicholas Mee Racing’s Aston Martin GT4 Challenge GT4 race car. Standing 65cm tall, it is currently fitted with a 65cm diameter glass top, and comes with an NMR stamp for authenticity and a brake disc and brake bell from the same car.

Retro Tweed bucket seat

This exclusive P.Arts item has been crafted using a period bucket seat that was previously used in a period Aston Martin racing car which has been exquisitely trimmed in official Aston Martin Racing/Hackett ‘Prince of Wales’ tweed. The legs of this 95cm tall chair have been bespoke engineered to replicate the look of the spokes of a Nardi wooden steering wheel common to many Heritage Aston Martins.
