Family & relationships
Bill Clinton purchased a lavish estate situated in Chappaqua in 1999 towards the end of his second Presidential term. Media reports indicate that Clinton paid close to $6 million to secure the deal for the property. The move to the Chappaqua home was necessitated by the fact that Clinton didn’t own any property of his own during his active political career. The Dutch styled villa exudes a colonial charm and was built more than a century ago in the year 1895.The property has served as the perfect post retirement home for the former US president ever since he quit active politics. His wife Hillary visits the family home occasionally since her political duties keeps her away from Chappaqua most of the time. The estate is now valued at over $8 million.
Location: Clinton’s permanent residence is situated in the northern Westchester County of the American state of New York.

Bill Clinton rented a lavish beach front house for the entire month of August in the year 2012. The Clinton family celebrated the former American president’s 66th birthday at the rented home. Bill had taken the home on a rental basis for a week when Hurricane Irene struck the area during August 2011 and liked the house so much that he decided to come back for a longer sojourn. The house is owned by real estate magnate Elie Hirschfeld and it’s not clear exactly how much money he charged from the Clintons to let out the sprawling property. The house was built in 1920 and went through a comprehensive renovation process at the turn of the new millennium. The property is now currently valued at $20 million.

1967 Ford Mustang
Bill Clinton once owned an ice blue colored 1967 Ford Mustang car. Clinton acquired the Mustang when he was the Governor of Arkansas and opted for the convertible version that came equipped with an electronically operated hard roof top. The interiors of the former US President’s Mustang provided a very soothing ambience due to its white colored theme and Clinton lined the seats with high end leather upholstery. Reportedly, Clinton was greatly distressed when he had to leave his favorite vintage car behind after he was elected as the American President.
1989 Lincoln Presidential Limousine
Bill Clinton signed a 1989 Lincoln Presidential Limousine during a campaign event held in 2010 Scranton, Pennsylvania where Clinton came to town for a Senate candidate's campaign rally. The former US President was photographed cleaning the metallic black presidential limo with a hose pipe. Interestingly, Clinton never hitched a ride on this model of the presidential vehicle and records indicate that former US Presidents Ronald Reagan and George HW Bush extensively used this car. The 1989 limousine was equipped with top of the line security features like blast proof windows and a bullet proof body. Even the tires of this imposing vehicle could absorb multiple gun shots and move ahead unhindered.
The wonderful marriage between two great leaders - Bill Clinton and Hillary Rodham - is proof of the fact that relationships go beyond hard times and trying circumstances. They have been together through thick and thin for nearly 4 decades now and their journey together started off in a small way, at their living room in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where they exchanged nuptial vows.
It was almost love at first sight at their first meeting in a civil liberties class at Yale Law school in 1970. Since then, they seemed to have shared a magical love. For the wedding which took place on October 11, 1975, Hillary wore a Jessica McClintock dress which looked pretty simple and old-fashioned. The dress was purchased in a hurry from a departmental store.
There were about 100 people at the reception which was held at the home of Ann and Morris Henry where the centerpiece was the wedding cake with pale-yellow roses on it. The couple honeymooned in Acapulco and have had a daughter, Chelsea Clinton, from the marriage.
Chobe Game Lodge
The March 1998 tour of the then US President and First Lady, Bill and Hillary Clinton, to Africa included a 3-day stop at the magnificent Chobe National Park. The president and his wife moved around the area along game trails in rugged jeeps drinking in the sights of elephants, baboons, cape buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles and even a rare lioness with four cubs. Driving around 30 miles on the dusty trails, the couple were visibly moved and the president expressed that he felt it was his sacred obligation to preserve the environment after seeing the Chobe. They enjoyed their stay in a luxury lodge by the Chobe river.
Location: The Chobe National Park is located at the northern tip of Botswana in the African continent. It is the country's first ever national park.
Accommodation: There are several lodges in the Chobe with each one having the capacity to accommodate about a 100 guests in great luxury. The Chobe Game Lodge, Game Savannah lodge, Camp Moremi, Safari Savute Lodge and Leruu La Tao are some of the better known ones.
Main Attractions: Undoubtedly, the rich variety of mammals, reptiles and birds are the greatest attraction at the Chobe. Staying in the lap of nature, the tourist can experience life at its natural best. Game trails offer rare sights of lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, giraffes, hippos, elephants, foxes, hyenas, zebras, impalas, wildebeest, cheetahs, wild dogs and a host of other mammals. The world famous Victoria Falls is also close to the park. The Chobe has been host to several celebrity weddings (Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton is case to point) and would be a perfect romantic place to take a river cruise. The game lodges afford an excellent view of nature with the animals from the luxury of an air-conditioned room or even a swimming pool.
Hawaii is a favorite haunt for the rich and the famous. It is, therefore, not surprising that one of the first vacations that Bill Clinton took with wife Hillary Clinton on becoming the president of the United States in 1993 was to Hawaii. The couple seemed to romp about happily, dressed in colorful and bright clothes, during one of the many cultural festivals there. Bill Clinton also enjoyed dips in the warm ocean waters at a private beach resort as madame looked on from the beach.
Location: Hawaii is located in the central Pacific ocean as the northernmost island group in Polynesia.
Accommodation: There is ample accommodation ranging from prices $100 a night to $500 a night depending on the luxury levels preferred. It would be economical to stay on the ancillary islands rather than the main Hawaii island.
Main Attractions: Hawaii is a paradise for sightseers and photographers alike with its multi-dimensional terrain ranging from hills and valleys to beaches and forests to volcanoes and plains. The sunsets are very romantic on the beaches which provide an excellent opportunity to swim, surf, canoe, go kayaking, fish and simply lounge. Those that enjoy history and culture must visit the various art galleries and museums, especially the one at Pearl Harbor. Hawaii is also home to a host of cultural events and festivals. National parks abound here along with great chances of seeing volcanoes in action on land and the dolphins/whales in action in the waters. Activities include music, shopping, cuisine, horse-riding, golf and island-hopping.

Clinton foundation with multiple aims like improvement of global public health, prevention of religious and ethnic conflict, poverty alleviation, and ensuring affordable treatment for HIV/AIDS patients. The foundation established in 2001 advocates concrete policy changes to help prevent the collapse of marine population and other forms of aquatic life. The NGO works with their qualified team of researchers to achieve positive results.
