Book an entire Caribbean Island for your vacation

Nandini Rathi / March 30, 2012

Luxury vacationing is one aspect in which you can spend your excess cash and cool off too, but having done so for hiring an entire European village or a private island, is more about tastes in exclusivity, and indulgence. We had earlier talked about a few of their examples like the Rent a Village service, or hiring the Necker Island or Makepeace Island, which were about hiring an entire area of land for private vocational use. For the already inset summer holiday season, and the vacations that are being planned for, the Royal Belize Island is on the market for hire, and bidding for a 5-night vacation on it is actually underway. A private island in perhaps the world’s favourite beach vacation zone, the Caribbean, and that too with all amenities for personal usage, should certainly see the bidding get more attractive for the totally private island retreat made of fantasies.

The Royal Belize Island

Accommodation: For the perfect kind of island living, there are 3 options for accommodation available on the island. The most premier of the lot is Villa Alba, known for its prime location on the island, and its views of the Caribbean Sea. In fact views of the north, east, and south are virtually unimpeded by any obstructions. The interior of the house has been decorated with a blend of European, Asian, and also the local made art décor and furnishing. Other than that, there is the grand indoor dining area, video library, walk-in closet, along with the vast exposure of the decks which make it ideal for soaking in some sun.

The next is the Casa Catalina, which just might be what romantic couples would be looking for. Te special feature of the accommodation is the outdoor bedroom, which allows for wonderful experiences of star gazing at night. Due to tis fine location, one would find living amongst the mangroves rather interesting, as it would be ideal for hanging up one hammock, and skip though a nap or read a book out in nature glory.

The Casa Valentina is also another alternative for the romantics. Unlike the other 2 villas, this one has a sunset deck, where the setting sun can be backdrop of a closer time together. The villa also enjoys a private setting amidst the prime spot of the west of the Royal Belize Island, and great features internally as well.

Dining: Though there are no restaurants on the island, it doesn’t mean that one can’t taste sumptuous cuisine while vacationing here. With an allotted private chef, who will be at the guests’ beck and call for setting a luxurious food and beverage menu, one can indulge in some true binge eating of sorts. Since the rates paid will include all snacks, meals, and even beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) as a part of the package, partying never got so attractive for the foodies especially. Specially cheeses, pate, and champagnes are a part of the selection too.

Various dining options

Also, the service staffs is there to serve one on any location of choice; under a palm tree, lounge area, villa bedroom, or even the beach sands. Having one’s meal never got any more private than this.

Activities: The island activities could generally be put into 4 shelves; land tours, sailing, scuba diving & fishing, and spa treatments. Beach Sports would include hiring a water runner, kayaks, or snorkelling equipment, American football, soccer, badminton, Frisbee and even board games. Those who are more technologically inclined, various indoor board games and video games are on offer as well.

Enjoy the sea views and sunbathing experience

One could hire the island’s 47-foot catamaran and venture out to the pristine and beautifully intoxicating South Water Caye Marine Reserve, and enjoy the waters for an entire day, and perhaps even return the next! Dining options are open here as well.

The world class scuba diving and snorkelling are another strong attraction. Whether it’s about exploring the amazing aquatic life beneath the ocean, or even taking a certification course in diving, the oceans are a great place to spend one’s vacation on the island. Due to the quitter nature of the water, the danger to get lost at sea is bare minimal, and virtually all categories of swimmers could have a good time here.

The land tours would generally centre on exploring the local culture and history, including the Mayan art and enjoying the local flora and fauna. Also if aerial tours are favoured more, Astrum helicopters can be hired as well, where the natural endowments will be on full view, with a different angle never the less.

Since beach and island vacations are about unwinding, a relaxing and rejuvenating spa treatment is almost necessary for the experience. Various exotic treatments are on offer including the Signature treatment that uses ingredients from the local natural sources for the treatments, and last for over an hour. There is the added flexibility of ordering the treatment wherever the guests prefer.

Other activities to indulge in
