The four-storey residence (built in 1998) was bought by the actress-singer, Brittany Murphy, during her salad-days in 2003 had cost her $3.85 million. After she dies of severe anemia and acute pneumonia in 2009, the home was put up for sale for a whooping $7.85 million. Interestingly, when the second shocker, the death of spouse Simon Monjack due to the exactly same reasons, came, the asking price immediately fell down to $ 4.995 million following speculations that the house was infected with some mold.

Location: The infamous home is located among the hills just above the Sunset Strip on Los Angeles, California. The Sunset Strip is part of the Sunset Boulevard which passes through the West Hollywood region.

Accommodation: The Mediterranean styled mansion is built as a four-storey structure. It has five luxuriously furnished bedrooms and five spacious bathrooms. Another half bathroom is also located within. Also, there is a separate guest house attached to the house along with a room for the maid.

Features: The mansion of Brittany Murphys stands almost on 8,000 square feet of land. It is surrounded by sylvan settings and has a large swimming pool which is afforded privacy by the trees all around. A long private drive leads up to the house and the drive has been neatly lined and laid out. There is an extensive spa for luxurious living. The basement also serves as a garage and can easily park two large cars. The area outside the basement too can easily park three more cars.

Neighborhood: A whole galaxy of stars and celebrities have clustered in Sunset Strip. Some of the more famous names include Leonardo DiCaprio, Al Pacino, Jewel, Paris Hilton and Cameron Diaz.

Brittany flaunted this designer bag while checking into the airport. It boasts of cow hide leather with two easy to carry leather handles. The bag is very spacious with water resistant interiors and gold tone hardware with an original brass flap on one side of the bag. It is available in tan color with U shaped zippers on the front.

The actress wore this stunning $3,990 dress at the premiere of Happy Feet. It is a knee length cocktail dress with a teal blue high-waist bow and clusters of jewels on the front portion giving it an elegant and stylish look.

Murphy was snapped wearing these $332 designer shades outside the John Frida hair salon. The made in Italy sunglasses have brown striped Havana plastic frames with cut away plastic lenses. It's signature cats eye shape provides a retro feel to the wearer.

Brittany was photographed wearing these designer pumps to the premiere of the movie Talledega Nights. The classic black Pumps are of Italian origin with a pointed toe , front stitched center frames and padded insole . It features their bright red lacquer signature sole with a 4 ¾ inches covered heel and 1 ½ inch platform.
