The Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR 1 comes from the stables of the American car making giant Chevrolet, a subsidiary of General Motors, and is the upgraded version of the Corvette C6. It is a two door, two seats, mid engine car with a massive V12 for optimized performance. This car is built for performance and is the most powerful Corvette to ever exist. The C6 ZR 1 is the 6th generation Corvette and was first manufactured in 2009. The ZR 1 is assembled at Bowling Greens Kentucky, United States and is a super sports vehicle designed on the Chevrolet Y Body design.
The interior of the ZR 1 looks pretty basic with a carbon fiber dash board sitting up front with a mounted steering wheel, the tachometer and speedometer and a basic GPS device. The gear knob is made of aluminum, so are the brakes and clutch pedals. The interior has massive use of carbon fiber clothing and the seats are made of charcoal finish leather. There is nothing elegant about the interior and the interior feels quite basic. There is however enough storage space behind the seats and the trunk is quite spacious. The interior is not crammed up and the driving position suits the person handling the steering wheel.
The Corvette was never built for luxury and the ZR 1 is no exception. With basic features like climate control, air conditioner, air bags, GPS monitor, parking sensors and an advanced suspension, this car offers the necessary features when it comes to luxury. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity is also standard on the vehicle. Despite that, the car shuts up the critics when it comes to raw performance.
The Corvette C6 ZR 1 has the same design as of the previous Corvette versions with some minor changes like wider front grille, suave headlight design, a more streamlined shape, sharper lines at the sides leading to the hood, new and improved side fenders and an aluminum chassis. The ZR 1 uses the conventional Chevrolet Y Body frame and it is a sturdy steel frame designed to hold the car together at the massive speeds it produces. The car is available in mid night black, sun set red and racing blue colors and the exterior has no use of carbon fiber parts, unlike most cars in this segment.
