Chopard “Disney Princess Collection” to debut at Harrods for Holiday Season

Chopard & Cinema; a love story continues with the exclusively-new creation of enchanting Haute Joaillerie collection inspired by the Walt Disney’s Princess. Official partner of the Cannes Film Festival for 15 consecutive years, the prestigious Swiss luxury watch and jewellery maker Chopard has collaborated with the iconic and luxurious London store Harrods and Disney to realize the ‘Disney Princess Collection’, which comes straight from the magical world of the Disney Princess. Defined to be the perfect expression of the Chopard aesthetic, the elegant yet playful ten-piece collection featuring Belle, Cinderella, Ariel, among others, comprises of a selection of hairpieces, bracelets, earrings and necklaces.

Long before this collaboration, the legendary Disney characters have always been the source of inspiration as revealed by Chopard’s co-president and artistic director Caroline Scheufele.

Notably, this dazzling launch coincides with Harrods’ festive Disney themed Christmas celebration, which also features glamorous interpretations of the original Disney Princess couture by world-leading designer’s including Versace, Oscar de la Renta and Elie Saab, to name a few.

The collection include a necklace which reminds us of the floating flowers on which Tiana and her prince floated upon in The Princess and the Frog (pictured above), the earrings that depict a pair birds carrying flowers from Sleeping Beauty, a necklace that clearly references Rapunzel’s long golden hair (pictured below), a dazzling necklace inspired by Belle’s yellow gown, and an apple ring of rubies based on the poisonous fruit the Evil Queen served Snow White.

Recently, in celebration of Disney’s re-release of the famous Cinderella story on DVD and Blu-ray, the French footwear designer renowned for his signature red lacquered soles Christian Louboutin also unveiled his new interpretation of Cinderella’s glass slipper.
