Regarded as unique in the luxury watchmaking world, the Golden Bridge Collection of wristwatches by Swiss watchmaker Corum is truly eye-catching without being obnoxious. Its four sapphire sides offer an unrestricted view of the intricately detailed linear movement, which appears to be floating in mid-air, held only by the gold bridge that actually names this impressive watch. Also known for its ‘World Premiers,’ Corum produces a limited number of special edition watches every year. And, continuing its legacy, Corum produced a limited edition of 50 highly-distinctive Golden Bridge Napoleon watches to celebrate its 50th proud anniversary back in 2005. Corum even resurrected the Golden Bridge design for this issue, after it was initially released in the 1980s. Now, the watch number 15 of these limited edition Golden Bridge Napoleon watches will be featured as the top lot in Hong Kong Antiquorum sale on October 19th.

The watch on sale boasts an incredible hand-painted dial that actually takes 36 hours to complete on each piece. Further, the reverse is decorated with a coat of arms, which is visible through its transparent backing.

Notably, the casing has been crafted from 18K white gold, along with the buckle and the strap crafted from finest leather. Expected to fetch a price of $45,000 – $70,000, this watch no. 15/50 comes accompanied by the original mirrored presentation case, certificate, booklet and CD.

However, another examples of the Corum Golden Bridge Napoleon, the watch no. 03/50 which was manufactured in 2006 was sold at Christie’s Hong Kong sale in 2009 for $45,363, realizing around $20,000 more than its estimate price, along with the watch no. 22/50 which was also manufactured in 2006 fetched $37,260.

5. Patek Philippe Ref. 5131G-001 World Time wristwatch
