And this festive season, the holiday shoppers are not just buying gifts for themselves but they are also pampering their pets. Jason Batterbee and wife Mairi are childless and treat their rabbits as their babies, which is why the couple has showered all their love and affection in pampering their rabbits by building the most hi tech hutch. The modern habitat is equipped with facilities like integral LED lighting and webcam, including an infra red facility for night time observation. The rabbits Hunnie and Runnie, have just moved in their new abode. There are three cameras inserted in the hutch and the activities can be observed through internet via their smartphones or laptop.

The hutch is handmade by the owner in pinewood and stainless steel. The timber interiors are interlocked and connected with stainless steel expansion rods. The weather proof shutter and camera are powered by a 12 volt battery. The luxurious hutch also has a fan for temperature control. A shutter has been made to keep out the bad weather and all the functions can be operated through a mobile phone from anywhere. The pet owner Jason commented, “They could be considered the most pampered pets in the world but they are worth it. Everything is powered by a 12 volt battery, beside the hutch and trickle charged from the mains. The only facility not powered by technology is feeding time. If we are away we have friends who do that.”

Earlier we have also told you about the celebrity obsession with their pets including Paris Hilton, who has built a pet mansion for her 17 dogs back in 2009. The deluxe kennel comes with lavish features like air conditioning, chandeliers, an ornate staircase, doggie wardrobe and miniature versions of her own furniture in a two story construction overlooking her pool.
