Damien Hirst and Flea designs Multi-Coloured Deluxe Spin Bass Guitar for $80,000
Damien Hirst is yet again in news for his colorful artworks. The richest artist in Britain has joined hands with Red Hot Chili Peppers’ bassist Flea, and is all set to work towards his charity, Silverlake Conservatory of Music. To contribute towards this noble cause Hirst has painted series of Spin Bass Guitars, with his iconic splash color design.
These colorful guitars will be launched on November 8th 2011 at Other Criteria in London, and all the money raised from the sales will go to Flea’s charitable trust. All the guitars are signed by Damien Hirst and Flea and the edition numbers are printed on the base of the neck. Below are the details of the collection:
1. Multi Coloured Deluxe Spin Bass Guitars
Price: $ 80,086
These guitars are limited to 50 in number and are uniquely hand painted by gloss paint. The bass guitars are painted in splash pattern with an array of bright colors that will definitely fetch profitable returns. The guitar will come with a rare photograph of the Hirst and Flea holding guitar and a 6 x 6” framed monochrome butterfly gloss on canvas. The instrument will also be packed in a unique hand spun case.
2. Color Spin Bass Guitar
The Color Spin Bass Guitars are splashed painted in basically three colors blue, green and yellow. The guitars are available in limited numbers as only 125 such pieces will be up for sale. Each guitar is signed by both the artists and is punched with the edition number for the exclusivity. The guitar will be housed in a hand spun case also painted by the artist.
3. Black and White Spin bass guitar
This black and white spin bass guitar is for the people who are bored of seeing too many colors in Damien Hirst’s artworks. Hence this time he has produced nearly 125 pieces of black and white guitar in the splash pain pattern that looks absolutely stunning. The guitar comes with a sign of both the artist and edition number at the back of the guitar.
Earlier Damien Hirst has also designed Fender Guitar that went up for auction at Christie’s art sale and was sold for $146,730.
