20 years old German manufacturer of luxury outdoor furniture of unparalleled excellence sold in more than 80 countries worldwide, Dedon which earlier impressed us with its Summer Cloud beach chair that rotates 360-degrees, the Nestrest hanging lounger that transforms your regular garden sofa into a small architectural piece, has now come up with Swingrest created by Paris-based designer Daniel Pouzet. Though this ultimate hanging lounger shares part of its name and most of its structure with the iconic Nestrest, but it’s in a class all its own, and is the very 1st product to emerge from company’s Outdoor Living Lab in Siargao, Philippines, the Dedon Island resort. Notably, the co-architect and designer of Dedon Island, Daniel Pouzet, took his design inspiration for the Swingrest from resort's villas' extra-high ceilings, and borrowed the tough basket-like bottom from his earlier creation Nestrest. On the same note, we have also earlier seen the Manu Nest Hanging chair made out of volcanic rock, which is a luxurious cocoon-shaped furniture for nature-lovers who dream of a backyard that itself is as close to the nature as possible.
Described to be perfect for hanging on the terrace or verandah, or even indoors, the Swingrest available in natural colored weave is truly distinguished by the environment friendliness, simplicity and purity in its concept.
The designer Pouzet impressively focused his creative energy on refining the design details, and developing the Swingrest’s elegant suspension system, its 160-degree rotating tabletob and the specially-created cord that wraps around its exposed tubing.
Further, Swingrest comes with an optional fabric curtain cover that’s simply perfect for making shade and giving privacy while letting those inside see out.
