Strongly inspired by Shelby American’s 50-years of illustrious history and the Shelby 1000, brand’s most powerful car yet, the Limited Edition Shelby 1000 timepiece sports a stealth, a 43.5mm of stainless-steel and rubber case, housing the Valjoux 7753 movement, a Swiss automatic chronograph. Allowing the wearer to easily log the lap times, a tachymeter has been especially engraved on the bezel, and the hand-finished iconic Shelby cobra insignia has been applied to the galvanic dial, which is further accentuated by the vertical, guilloche racing stripes.
Further, a highly textured natural rubber strap inspired by the belly of cobra snake keeps this precious timepiece secured. And, with every special car to roll out of Shelby American’s factory, the back of the timepiece is engraved with the signature of Carrol Shelby. The Shelby 1000 timepieces are a true testament to designer David Yurman’s celebrated artistic design aesthetic and passion for crafting the finest timepieces.
However, David Yurman unveiled its new Limited Edition Shelby 1000 timepiece on 5 April 2012, during the press conference by Shelby American Inc., a division of Carroll Shelby International. A limited edition run of 150 black PVD and 150 stainless-steel versions of the watch, will be available at select David Yurman retail stores and at the website.
