Debbie Wingham’s $5.6 Million World’s Most Expensive Black Diamond Dress
From altar to editorial, runway to red carpet; the next chapter for Debbie Wingham, Britain-based designer who started her fashion career at the age of 13, got written with the glamorous unveiling of her latest creation at the Ukraine Fashion Week, which has been described as ‘The World’s most expensive Black Diamond Dress.’ This young and famous designer who lives and breathes her trade, created the ultra-pricey $5.7 million Black Diamond Dress using 50 stunning two-carat black diamonds. Debbie, who herself sewed this dress that weighs a staggering 13kg’s and boasts as above 6 months’ worth of hand finished detail, has described it as “an anthem for a beautiful women who loves life.” However, we have also earlier seen the world’s most expensive cocktail dress costing $15 million that actually took the haute-couture fashion world with a storm, besides the most expensive wedding dresses, the most expensive prom dress, and the most expensive diamond dress dubbed as the “Nightingale of Kuala Lumpur.”
Unveiled to socialites and businessmen alike at Ukraine Fashion Week, this Black Diamond dress boasts 25 two-carat black diamond’s which adores the peplum, and another 25 two-carat diamond’s adores the elegant shoulder shrug.
Notably, the diamonds actually frames the dress’s shoulder line, while the bustier part of this designer handcrafted dress is truly a center piece of 5-carats of dazzling black diamonds.
The rest of the embellishment is really-fine beading and the delicate pointer white diamonds which are set in white gold with a minute chain-mail detail, adding some extra individuality.
The dress was however earlier launched officially at the Billionaires’ Club in Monte Carlo, before unveiled at the Ukraine Fashion Week.
