Derringer Cycle X restoration combines a bike and cycle into an artistic ride

When we first saw the 13 artistic bikes at the ICA Psychedelica Gala, we had rested into believing that innovation in design is done for the time being, but were pleasantly taken aback, when we saw the Derringer Cycle X restoration job. Combining the designs from bike frames from the 20’s, and fitting an light-intensity engine in it, the Derringer combines some artistic elements such as the signature grey shade, Kevlar re-enforced tires, and black leather saddle with copper rivets.

Adrian Van Anz had previously impressed us with the Derringer bike range with a similar concept, but this time, the artistic and classic flavors seem to be toned to a higher level. The copper riveting, with the use of crafted leather saddle, and the Kevlar racing tires combined with the old-world design brings back the charm and feeling of elitism in today’s times, when everyone seems to be designing something for the future (read designing sci-fi resembling vehicles). Since a lot of travelling within the city is now cumbersome with the growing population of humans and their cars, this bike is the perfect answer through the compact and slim design, and an engine which gives quite the punch in packed roads. The top speed could go up to 35 m/ph, and total distance covered for a gallon is around 180 miles which is rather economical considering other heavy weight 2 wheelers.

The pricing for this bike is fixed at $3,500, and one could also pick up a special vintage style sporting helmet for another $100 each. As a pack, this is quite a style statement!
