He bought this island from the Forbes family for £7 million in 2003 to create his favorite holiday home. The island contained over 3000 acres, 600 of which are under cultivation of coconuts. After the island was acquired by the Red Bull owner it has undergone spectacular renovation and is now amongst world’s one of the most beautiful islands.
Location: Laucala Island is located to the east of Thurston Point on the island of Taveuni in Fiji.
Accommodation: Announced as one of the hundred most beautiful hotels and resorts in the world, Laucala Island opened in 2009 to guests. The island’s private and exotic 25 residences accommodates a maximum of 80 guests and are munificently positioned for maximum privacy. It’s quite likely that you won’t see any other guests during your stay. Each residence is designed with keeping the light and space in mind. These residences are particularly spacious, with spectacular views upon the open sea. The guests can choose from two options of living: The Seagrass Residences and The Plateau Residences. The Seagrass Residences are positioned in the tropical jungle within the sea grass bay. It is a perfect place to contemplate the indigo sea. Plateau Residences are located on the Nawi hill overlooking the ocean, lending themselves to spectacular cliff top views of neighboring islands.
Features: The best feature after the accommodation is the food of the resort. Fine Dining and casual settings are served throughout the day, wherever you decide to spend your day. The resort serves Laucala cuisine, afternoon & dinner is Tapas style cuisine with fresh breads from their own bakery and homemade hams and delicatessen meats. How to get there: The guests are transported to the island by Beechcraft King Air B200 in a 45-minute flight from Nadi.

Dietrich Mateschitz adores motorcycling to death as he has been spotted a number of times riding a gorgeous bike matching his distinctive style. Though riding one of the best bikes in the town, the Red Bull co-owner is pretty cautious when it comes to handling the bike at high speeds.

Don't Walk Charity Fashion Show
Red Bull has also been known to support events in aid of charity. Mateschitz is in association with Don't Walk Charity Fashion Show for past three years. Don't Walk is a student organized show which heaves consciousness and contributes its profits from the show and related events to a nominated charity each year. Mateschitz also gives sponsorship every year to number of students.

Hanger 7
Although Dietrich Mateschitz is less known outside Austria but his museum, art gallery which is known as Hangar 7 is popular in whole world. This place has a collection of race cars, planes and racing motorcycles as well as houses a 5 star restaurant, a café and 2 lounges. Located at the Salzburg Airport, Red Bull owner has built massive glass-enclosed hangar complete with a changing collection of airplanes belonging to the Flying Bulls, his own acrobatics team. The place is filled with more than 20 Red Bull aircraft, cars and motorcycles and has rare planes like a F4U Corsair, a vintage DC-6 especially built for Marshall Tito and Cessna Caravan among others.

Hanger 8 houses the Red Bull owner's massive private collection of historic aircrafts and F1 cars. Located just adjacent to the Hanger 7, this museum cum storehouse of world's rarest aircrafts is maintained by a team of more than 60 experts who not only fly these planes but also perform fdeath-defying acrobatic stunts with them. The acrobatics team is known by the name of Flying Bulls who have won laurels all over the world through their outstanding performances.
