Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are the creators and joint owners of the popular fashion label “Dolce & Gabbana”, a brand that has acquired iconic status in the past two decades and is considered to be one of the most influential and powerful designer labels in the world. The designer duo is renowned for their ability to express the beauty of the female body in a very artistic and sensual manner. Their creations are considered to be highly unconventional and experts credit the pair with the achievement of completely resetting the parameters of fashion designing. Some of their most iconic creations include the “underwear-as-outerwear” and “gangster boss pinstripe suit” collections. Legendary Hollywood celebrities of the likes of Sophia Lauren, Madonna and Monica Bellucci have graced the couple’s creations. The pair’s flashy lifestyle perfectly complements their status as one of the premier fashion designers in the world.

"Dolce & Gabbana" is one of the wealthiest fashion houses in the world with an estimated net worth of $5.3 billion. Revenues from the women’s clothing and accessories section forms the backbone of the company’s income stream. Even the men’s clothing line has shown a healthy revenue growth in the past few years. Domenico Dolce’s individual net worth has been put at $2.2 billion and Stefano Gabbana’s personal bank balance stands at $2.1 billion.

The duo’s billionaire status has ensured that both the designers can easily afford to lead the kind of lifestyle that is the stuff of envy of ordinary mortals. The ex-couple own luxury homes in some of the most exotic locales in Europe like Milan and the French Riviera. The designer duo prefers to spend their time off by sailing to exotic beach destinations like Monaco in their private luxury yacht, the “La Regina d'Italia”. Both of them own quite a few high end sports cars. Quite unsurprisingly, the pair is outspoken advocates of gay rights causes and has campaigned relentlessly to increase the public profile of the gay community. It must be noted though that the designers hold radically different views on certain issues like gay parenting which has led to considerable friction between them in the past.

Domenico Dolce was born and brought up in Sicily and Stefano Gabbana spent his formative years in Italy. The same-sex couple first met each other at Milan in 1980 and fell in love. A few years down the line they decided to commit to each other from a long term perspective. However, the relationship suffered a jolt in 2005 when the couple split up owing to their mutual differences. The duo tried their level best to work things out between them and was eventually back together for a brief while before parting their ways for good in 2008. However, the designer duo has managed to keep their excellent working relationship intact even though it has been curtains for them on the personal front for the past five years. They still work together on their creations and consistently churn out bestselling designs. It is not yet clear whether the two designers have entered into new relationships with other men.
