At the Living Kitchen 2011, Dornbracht, the international manufacturer of high-quality designer fittings and accessories for bathrooms and kitchens, presented a new electronic fitting designed for wet working areas of the kitchen. The central component of the prototype is an electronic control panel, very similar to that of the company’s eTool for the shower. The new intuitive control panel allows to operate fittings, plugs and washing-up liquid dispensers and to activate pre-set water programs. Featuring a minimalistic design, the control panel can be integrated perfectly into every high-quality kitchen architecture.

The electronic fitting is controlled via the control panel – water on, water off at the press of a button. You can also turn the water on and off using a foot sensor. Plugging and unplugging the sink is also activated with the control panel. A matching light sensor has been installed in the baseboard under the cabinet, which shines on the floor as a discrete beam of light, which enables contact-free activation and de-activation of the water flow.

With the new electronic fitting, Dornbracht has brought the idea originated in professional kitchens into the home kitchen.
