Drew Barrymore purchased a lavish mansion valued at $8 million in January 2011. The actress managed to land a decent bargain and was able to get $1 million shaved off from the final asking price and in the end paid $7 million. The house was constructed in 1937 and the design is heavily influenced by the native Californian Monterey Colonial style architecture. The villa served as the venue for the actress’s wedding held in June 2012 with art consultant Will Kopelman and currently Barrymore is residing there with her husband and child.

Drew Barrymore was recently photographed refueling the fuel tank of her brand new metallic black BMW 745i at a Los Angeles gas station. The 745i is powered by a 4400cc V8 DOHC engine that delivers an output of 400HP and 450 lb-ft of torque. The car boasts of superb pickup and can zoom to a speed of 100 km/hour from start in just 5.5 seconds. Interiors are very spacious and the seats have been upholstered in vinyl leather. The $75,000 vehicle has been equipped with user friendly features like the iDrive navigation system, a 6-CD player and a powerful climate control system.

The World Food Programme in yet another initiative by the UN in its fight against hunger worldwide. By 2004, it had reached out to 113 million people in 80 countries. Drew Barrymore is passionate about this cause and she has accompanied the World Food Programme twice to Kenya.
