Drew Barrymore purchased a lavish mansion valued at $8 million in January 2011. The actress managed to land a decent bargain and was able to get $1 million shaved off from the final asking price and in the end paid $7 million. The house was constructed in 1937 and the design is heavily influenced by the native Californian Monterey Colonial style architecture. The villa served as the venue for the actress’s wedding held in June 2012 with art consultant Will Kopelman and currently Barrymore is residing there with her husband and child.

The villa offers majestic views of the neighboring Californian vineyards and the Santa Ynez mountainside.

Expensive antique furniture along with contemporary paintings by modern artists adds a great deal of aesthetic value to the home. The Hollywood star prefers to unwind after a hard day’s work by watching movies with her husband at the newly installed home theater system. Other luxury features include a powerful centralized air conditioner and an indoor fitness center.

Neighborhood: Barrymore’s neighbours include Hollywood celebrities like actors Kirk Douglas, Alec Baldwin and celebrity TV host Oprah Winfrey.

The 745i is powered by a 4400cc V8 DOHC engine that delivers an output of 400HP and 450 lb-ft of torque. The car boasts of superb pickup and can zoom to a speed of 100 km/hour from start in just 5.5 seconds. Interiors are very spacious and the seats have been upholstered in vinyl leather. The actress loves to go on long drives in her metallic black Porsche Carrera GT. The iconic $450,000 Carrera GT is considered to be the finest sports car ever built by Porsche. The World Food Programme in yet another initiative by the UN in its fight against hunger worldwide. By 2004, it had reached out to 113 million people in 80 countries. Drew Barrymore is passionate about this cause and she has accompanied the World Food Programme twice to Kenya.
