Want to own a piece of the legendary Superstar Elvis Presley and Hollywood's history? The auction house Profiles in History is holding a live public auction on December 16. The gala auction features more than 350 pieces of Hollywood memorabilia worth $2 mn.
The highlight of the auction will be the Elvis Presley microphone. The original vintage Shure Brothers 55S model microphone was used to utter the famous phrase 'Elvis has left the Building'. Elvis Presley's western hat from Charro is estimated to fetch $5,000 to $7,000. The auction will also feature treasures from the classic Hollywood films like Gone with the Wind, My Fair Lady, Star Wars, Superman and Batman. The collection at the auction will include costumes, props, production art and photographs.
The other highlighted stuff like Christopher Reeve's Superman costume from Superman III and Jim Carrey complete Riddler costume from Batman Forever is expected to fetch somewhere between $20,000 to $30,000. The original matte painting of Tara from Gone with the Wind is expected to fetch the same price and the personal motorcycle boots worn by the iconic American star james Dean are also up for sale.
And, this is not it...the auction also includes Kate Smith's personal autograph book signed by over 100 celebrities, who featured on her radio show. The auction also features a superb collection of costume sketches from the hollywood's greatest costume designers.
