A 100m super yacht concept by Alex McDiarmid
Owning a luxury yacht is the most elite and personalized way to explore beauty of seas. Indulging in the tranquility with such mega structure can take you to another level of sophistication. Many mega yachts like eco-friendly super yacht Hanuman, Flaming Ice or SV Design’s yacht that are either actualized or are about to be a reality are now amongst the favorite toy for the rich & famous.
A South of France based, British designer Alex McDiarmid who has earlier designed a concept for 46m super yacht and 85m super yacht Iwana few days ago is now up with his new design of a 100m motor yacht concept and is named as “Duel”. With a diverse concept the inspiration of Duel 100m yacht is driven form hand crafted dueling pistols of 17th – 19th Century European versions.
The size of the yacht is comparatively small by reducing one deck, which has eliminated the excess weight that leads to less consumption of electricity and energy. The yacht will use the latest green, hybrid power technology through Diesel Electric propulsion systems with pod drives.
With the cruising speed of 15 Knots the yacht is made completely out of aluminum that makes it lightweight. With the total capacity of 38 people the yacht will have 14 berth capacity of guest and 24 berth capacity of crew.The engraving found on the pistols from which the design is inspired has been added to the yacht’s design.
A reintroduction of figurehead on the bow will be included as a part of design for good luck. Just like Alex McDiarmid’s 85m super yacht Iwana design, the roof top of Duel assimilates a full length panoramic roof window running over the super yacht.
