A Chinese jewelry collector creates another Mona Lisa masterpiece with 100k carats of jewels

For those serious art lovers who would give their eye and teeth to own Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, one of the most expensive paintings from 16th century, a Chinese jewelry collector has created a replica of Leonardo da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa” with 100,000 carats of precious gem stones collected over last 30 years. The bejeweled Mona Lisa is the most expensive replica painting of its kind and was created over a period of five years. The painting is currently on display in a shopping mall in Shenyang City, China.
