Albed Line - A stylish modular shelving system for personal spaces
Space comes at premium these days, and that’s the very reason people prefer modular furniture units that take in less space but serve in more than one way. Enter the Albed Line, an intelligent modular system in which the shelves become structural. Presented at the Salone del Mobile 2011 in Milan, the modular shelving system has painted aluminum profiles and lacquered compartments in stacked layers, and you can adjust the dividers and containers to suit your liking.
Designed by Daniele Lo Scalzo Moscheri, the Line can be used as a cupboard, a bookcase or a TV stand, with enough space to slide in your hi-fi speakers. Its radical style and alluring color combinations highlight the amazing modular composition. The height- and width-adjustable bookcase creates a graphic, geometrical play of alternating lines, spaces, voids and panels covering the wall.
The Line by Albed comes with a sound system from Chario. There are two music speakers in the TV cabinet version, along with a subwoofer to enhance the acoustic performance. There is also a unit that features an iPod/iPhone dock attachment in its upper section for the Apple fanboys.
