Baselworld 2011: Limited edition Marvin MALTON 160 collection

Naveen Kumar / Mar 24 2011

As a tribute to the brand’s 160th anniversary, Swiss watchmaking brand Marvin took inspiration from the great strength of spirit of its timeless watchmaking codes to create the new MALTON 160 collection. For the four watches, they have used four different movements - a regulator model, a power-reserve model, a three-hand model with date and a model with large date and small seconds. All four watches in the MALTON 160 collection are available in limited editions, which will be delivered in an individual boxed set. The boxed sets have been given the name of one of the three kings - Melchior, Balthazar and Gaspard - who celebrate the arrival of a new spirit in the great tradition of sharing, travel and adventure. The three Collectors’ boxed sets are limited to eight copies.

Melchior has watches with with white dials, Clou de Paris motif and blued hands. Balthazar box includes watches with black dials in carbon fiber. Gaspard features models in black carbon, which are highlighted with highly dynamic yellow accents.

All the models in the collection bear many characteristics in common, such as the hallmark of the founders, Marc & Emmanuel Didisheim, a three-point crown engraved on the crowns and buckles and an interchangeable strap with red border.
