Concoon spa furniture takes home wellness to new heights
Each one of us is a spa-lover, seeking both health benefits, holistic rejuvenation from time to time. But, with the range of wellness home furniture available on the market, you don’t need a trip to the spa to unwind. We had earlier told you about some of the luxurious therapeutic furniture, including the Transport sleep pod by designer Alberto Frias, 4 Senses lounger and the Heated lounger. The latest into the range of wellness furniture is “Concoon” by a German company, Wasserbetten. The egg-shaped pod looks a bit similar to the $100K Ovei Pod, which too was meant for leisure, though with a difference.
Designed and developed by ITW, concoon is a new wellness concept in the spa furniture that aims to provide you with a personal retreat jut when you are looking for some solitude. The futuristic pod capsule boasts a lightweight design to let you experience a “floating feel” as in the womb or the weightlessness of space. The German company has collaborated with the design studio Liebmann, who are specialists in organic design for Concoon’s innovative design. The outer shell uses glass fiber reinforced plastic, while the base is stainless steel
Form follows function with hi-tech features. The pod lounger features a built-in water mattress based on our spa chairs, surround sound, sound waterbed, with or without headphones, specially developed by ITW and light for its therapeutic effects.
The pod capsule is currently available in white color, but the company even offers to customize the outer shell and your mattress as per individual needs. No word on the price or availability is yet available, but giving the $10k price tag of Transport pod, this should range from $4k to $10k.
