Earlier, we did a story on the dog cloning by a US Biotech firm, and now Nina and Edga Otto (an American couple) have struck the same chord by getting their pooch Lancelot cloned, which had died of cancer last year. The aggrieved couple decided to fill the desperate void by getting their beloved dog cloned in Korea for the huge amount of $155,000. The power of technology that revived the memories of the deceased dog can be realized at the house of Edga and Nina Otto, who had frozen his DNA sample after being diagnosed with cancer some six years back. The couple has named the cloned copy of the dog “Lancelot Encore.” Edga Otto says that the puppy, which is now 10 weeks old, took just a few hours to mingle with the other pets and now he leads nine other dogs in the house. The dog that looks like any other cute puppy resembles its forebear in all ways.
