Dalmore Oculus almost sets record for world's most expensive whisky
Just a couple of days ago we mentioned the Dalmore Oculus, believed to be the most precious whisky to ever appear at auction. Well, brewers were not calling it ”one of the world's most precious whiskies” for no reason. The rare and one of the last of its kind whisky placed for auction in Bonhams almost created history for being the most expensive whisky when it fetched $46,400 in Edinburgh yesterday, but fell short of the world record of $50,000 set by the most expensive whisky two years ago. There’s no info about who the buyer is but the unknown man with taste bid via telephone.
