Daniel Strom & ArtyA collaborate to shock you literally with their unique timepiece

Sometimes two good people are disastrous together! Daniel Strom & ArtyA's collaboration for their limited edition watch collection is an example of design collaboration gone wrong. Though we have separately admired the watch-making skills of both watch brands, the Daniel Strom & ArtyA 1/1 watch collection based on the skull watch from Daniel Strom’s Agonium collection looks hideous. The new set of watches is designed as a hybrid version of “Agonium Deconstructed” watches. The skull watch combines the ArtyA touch with a hand-painted case and dial, decorated with hand-engraved gothic skulls, accentuated with strong bolts of lightning. The hybrid watch collection even has a new motto, “I was what you are, and what I am you shall be” borrowed from the tombstone of a famous Roman legionary. The watches are painted by hand, using special techniques involving home made paint, gold leaf and secret pigments. The thunderbolt lightning effect is matched with fluorescent stitching on the toad-skin straps. The watches house Swiss automatic movements, while the cases have sapphire crystals and are water resistant to 50 meters. The watches are available in a limited edition of 88 pieces for a price of 11,900 Swiss Franks($13,175).
