Diageo’ s £100K limited edition scotch whisky to celebrate Queen's coronation jubilee
To commemorate the diamond jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II rule in 2012, John Walker has designed limited edition Scotch whisky. Diageo’s John Walker & Sons is creating 60 bottles, with the plan of gifting the first bottle to the Queen in occasion to celebrate her diamond jubilee. Rest of the bottles will be accessible for private sale by invitation only and the Scotch whisky will be bottled only on February 6, 2012.

Partially aged in a cask made from oak trees grown at Sandringham, the Scotch whisky is blend is a blend of whiskies distilled in 1952. It will be sold in a lead crystal decanter and the collar is decorated with a half-carat stunning diamond with individual number seal. Diageo’s Johnnie Walker whisky is the world’s top Scotch brand, established in 1820 and was awarded a royal warrant of appointment Elizabeth’s Grandfather George V, Queen, to provide whisky to the royals.
The royal edition of each bottle of Scotch whisky is priced at £100,000 ($164,300) and all the profits from the sale will be donated Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust that facilitates “enable traditional craftsmanship to flourish in Britain." Recently, Montblanc 2010 Art Edition pen was unveiled to honored the most famous female monarch of Great Britain.
