Most of the super yachts we see these days are blessed with almost all possible modern amenities and luxuries, but have a single short-fall- distance. When going on longer cruises especially to multiple destinations, there is always the danger of running out of fuel and necessities in odd location, but to counter the problem is the Axantha II yacht by French yacht maker JFA. Built with a fuel tank capacity and mileage to cover a distance of 7900 nautical miles at a stretch, this is something you would want to be inside while going on your short world tours.

Since having a sun-deck is synonymous with lengthy cruises at sea, there is plenty of open space on the aft deck to soak in the sun and enjoy nature. More than half of the deck has been kept open for sunbathing and socializing, and also make way for the 2 accompanying boats for some adventure sports. The rest of the deck of course houses the accommodation facilities, and the many amenities that the yacht has. There is ample space in the 340 sq meter living area, which can accommodate 11 guests and 8 crew members with ease. The décor if taken notice features a minimalistic yet very elegant approach, with stained cherry wood and teak doing a large part of walls and fixtures with off-white flooring. Since long cruises would mean times of privacy, and noise-free ambience, it has been noted that the noise levels at different zones are extremely low, making it a quiet boat to ride in. The number of guest cabins is 4, where as the owner’s cabin lies on the upper deck furbished with greater space and private amenities like private balcony. Other amenities include the in-door lounge, bar & dining area, along with a laundry room. Given the space, one could expect a library or a cinema too.

On the technical front, the engines are a twin set of Cummins machines, which generate 1500 HP in totality, and can take this 40 meter yacht up to 18.4 knots of top speed. However, for an optimum experience, a speed of 12.5 knots is best recommended on journey cruises. There is also the certification from Bureau Veritas and MCA, which gives it significant credibility for overall quality. So the next time you have extra cash, and are looking for something for the long run, might as well pin on this one.
