Harley Davidson done in originally colored salvaged wood

Naveen Kumar / Jul 8 2008

Here comes a new piece of art by Diederick Kraaijeveld, a self taught artist who has been creating eye-catching artworks from reclaimed wood. It is a Harley Davidson 1993 Softail Heritage, aka Cow-glide or Moo-glide because of the cowhide that has been used for this special edition motorbike. The measurements are 130 cm high and 110 cm wide. Like all his pieces, this work is done in originally colored salvaged wood; fund in dumpsters, along faraway shores an abandoned building. One piece is actually from an abandoned farm in the California desert. This is a commissioned piece for a nobleman (blue blood!) in Holland, who rides this motorcycle frequently. If you also wish to have one like this, the pricing starts at $15,000.
