How about paying £500,000 for a teddy bear?

Naveen Kumar / Apr 30 2009

This teddy bear doesn’t have diamond eyes and a gold nose like the one offered by Selfridges last year, but still, it asks for a whopping half a million pounds (US $741,670). This teddy bear has gone on sale in Suffolk, England. That’s a hell of a price to be paid for a teddy, but the relief is that that the bear’s home is also included in the price. The three-foot bear belongs to homeowner Walt McKinlay's daughter and is now sitting on a chair next to the window of the property with a "Buy Me" sign. Mr McKinlay, 73, a retired butcher and farmer, said that the teddy is attracting attention of the property hunters. The 17th century property is in the village's ancient market square.
