Hublot unveils King Power Red Devil watch for Manchester United
Renowned Swiss watchmaker Hublot, well known for its Big Bang line of watches, has now come up with the special edition King Power Red Devil for Manchester United. The watch has been launched to celebrate the firm’s official timekeeper partnership with the Manchester United football club since 2008.
The third watch coming from the dedicated partnership comes equipped with a chronograph movement distinguished by two center chronograph hands, which helps the wearer read the time with utmost ease. The wearer can keep track of both hands at a glance. While the first hand indicates the seconds, the other hand, which is dedicated to football, shows the time elapsed out of the 45 minutes in each half.
The watch also celebrates the Old Trafford’s hundred-year-old turf, as its indexes come in a natural grass-green color, obtained using real blades of grass from Old Trafford, picked and preserved especially by the club’s groundsmen for the making of this limited series. The black rubber strap of the watch bears a red line in the center, which draws inspiration from the soccer club’s graphic charter.
The new King Power Red Devil for Manchester United is limited to 500 units for the micro-blasted black ceramic version and 250 pieces for the King Gold 18K version. Manchester United players, Sir Alex Ferguson and Hublot CEO Jean-Claude Biver presented the new King Power Red Devil at the hallowed turf of Old Trafford on May 7, the day before the match against Chelsea.
