JeanRichard, Rafale join hands to integrate a watch into the boat console

Renowned Swiss watchmaking firm JeanRichard has teamed up with Rafale, the manufacturer of high-end semi-rigid boats, for an advanced system that allows integration of a timepiece into the console of a boat. The alliance between the two reputed brands speaks of new technologies, avant-gardism, performance and discovery. The development teams from the two houses worked closely to design an aluminum case fixed onto the instrument panel of the Rafale R7.0 model. The JeanRichard timekeeper can be easily clipped on and off with the help of a removable cushion. The boat owner can unclip the watch to wear on his wrist when needed and can fix it back to the console when in the cockpit. A transparent window helps the owner read the time.

The watch chosen for the project is the JeanRichard Diverscope JR1000, which has its bezel, push buttons and crowns done in black PVD treated titanium. It features a dial opal black with index and Arabic numerals at 12 o'clock in luminescent material. The black PVD treated titanium case-back fastened with four screws and the watch is water resistant up to 300 meters.

The innovative system was showcased at the "Festival International de la Plaisance" boat show in Cannes, France.
