K2 and Rolling Stones join hands for 50th anniversary limited edition skies
Legendary rock band Rolling Stones is now preparing to celebrate the group’s 50th anniversary, and to mark the occasion, they joined hands with K2 skies to create the limited edition pair of skiing boards. K2 skies is a part of the K2 sporting group, which has been involved in making designer versions of sports equipment for quiet sometime, and they along with Universal Music Group have created this limited edition gear to pay tribute to the sport, as well as the band.

This limited edition ski boards will have graphics which capture the flavor of the sport, and also the spirit of rock n roll which Rolling Stones is so famous for. Detailing includes original concert list for the 50th anniversary tour, some famous lyrics and rare photographs of the band which will make the series rather timeless, and in times to come, will raise its novelty value. What also stands out is the famous red tongue and lip logo associated with Rolling Stones, depicted on the front part of the boards. The K2 logo which was never really out of style will be a part of the graphics as well but would perhaps not be as prominent as the band’s logo. We tried digging for more technical info regarding the make and styling of the skiing gear, but would have to wait for some time. But we do know that the orders shall be moving from the shelves from November 2011, which means that the pre-order bookings must be starting pretty soon.
