Combining superior capabilities with a high storage capacity and compatibility with multiple formats, technology leader Kaleidoscope has introduced M700 disk vault, which could very well be what you need to have in your video library. The disc vault has the capacity to store 320 discs within itself which includes CD’s, DVD’s, and even blue-ray discs. After the content has been copied into the vault’s hard disk, the CDs or DVDs can be removed from the vault and kept elsewhere, while the blue-ray disks need to be there for content recall and playing.

What this means is that one wouldn’t have to go through an entire collection of disks to choose which content to play on screen, as the vault has a display panel on the front. Further, if there is a network of video playing systems within your library or home then they can be easily connected to the vault’s system.

The technological capabilities of the Kaleidoscope vault are in plenty. The in-built M-class video player is also there to ensure the quality of content to be as much high as possible. Video output for CD’s and DVD’s is possible in formats like HDMI, component YPbPr, S-video while for blue-ray disks, the output formats are from BD-live and Profile 2.0. Since a large amount of multimedia comes in the form of audio, formats like Dolby Digital HD, DTS digital sound, MPEG & PCM are perfectly well suited to be played on the system, which as a whole, is controlled by the front facing infra-red port integrated with its remote. Also for external inputs, the ports are located at the back of the disk vault.

The product has also been certified with many hallmarks for its high quality. This 37 Watt device has certifications like CSA, FCC class-B, CE and is also known to be ROHS compliant. With this whole bundle of capabilities, comes a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty and if you are looking to purchase one of these then it will cost you $6,000 a piece. If you include the server system, you would have to shell out $16,000 to experience multimedia of an entire new dimension.
