German camera maker Leica has produced one master class camera after the other with focus on the use of technology, and different designs to set themselves apart. We saw testimony of that in our coverage of the China 60th anniversary gold plated version, and also the customized M8 white edition. To make matters as colorful as your photographs, Colorware is now going to do customized paint jobs on your Leica D-Lux 5.

Leica D-Lux 5 is one of those cameras from Leica, which retains its focus on the basics but comes with high quality. But if you like your devices to be customized according to your fancy taste, you could send across your D-Lux 5 to Colorware, who will do a desired paint job to make sure your camera stands apart. The charges for the simple paint jobs are $400, but if you order your camera along with it, you have to pay another $800, which makes the total cost to be $1200. The D-Lux comes with features such as the superfast F/2.0 lens, 10.1 resolution, 24-90 equivalent 3.8x zoom lens, 3-inch LCD display, 720p HD video and the sensitivity of 12800 ISO standards.

The device, by itself, isn’t as fancy as you might get for a similar price, but what comes with every piece from Leica, is the quality which lasts for a very long time. With the added flexibility of getting a whacky paint-job done, there are many more reasons why photographers will love their Leica D-Lux 5.
