Love to the Rescue Crystallized LEGO Sculpture is valued at $40,000
It seems that all of what we thought as child’s play is now taking a turn for being rather pieces of art. LEGO is known worldwide for making blocks which children have used to create their own version of colorful models. But looking at the variety that tends to come out, some rather artistic variations have now made it to auctions and exhibitions for everyone to admire. Some prominent examples in mind are the LEGO castle chess set and Swarovski Valentine’s day sculptures. Now, artist Cimon has created the ‘Love to the rescue’ crystallized sculpture, valued at $40,000 to auction for the Gabrielle Angel Foundation annual ball.

This particular sculpture, as the name suggests, has been inspired by the relief efforts that has gone into rehabilitating the affectees of the recent earthquake and Tsunami in Japan. On closer look, one can notice the Swarovski crystal studded blocks, which create the ship, which has details showing the supplies, and most importantly, the love that came with the relief efforts.
Demonstrated in the form of red hearts, the message conveyed through them is that of love and compassion involved in the whole of the efforts that have gone into rebuilding the ravaged island nation. The different and rather a vibrant set of colors used on the ship sculpture are actually based on color therapy which uses sizes, dimensions and depth in shades, to heal an affected person.

The Love to the Rescue sculpture is currently meant for going under the hammer at the annual ball of the Gabrielle Angel Foundation, which has done commendable work for this noble cause. The value of construction has been $40,000 as per estimates, and auction is expected to fetch a far greater amount than that. The successful bidder will also get the special casing in which the sculpture will be housed.
