Luxury car miniatures from CMC defy recession
A Hot Wheels toy car and Swarovski studded Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 are a couple of unforgettable names that relate the toy-making industry to luxury. CMC, a toy manufacturer known for making quality car models symbolizing their finesses and prosperity, is another contender who throws its hat into the same ring. Flaunting its new collection for all the automotive enthusiasts, the manufacturer unveils its new 2009 collection of handcrafted scale models at this year’s Toy Fair held in Nürnberg. The collection includes the Horch 853 Pure Copper Edition (1/12 on the scale) offered in limited copies of 200 with color options yellow/black, gray/black, red/beige/white sidewall tires and dark green/light green priced at whopping €1847 (approx. $2,385). The delivery of models takes 1-2 months to reach your door, because each model is hand-made with great care and quality materials.

Another miniature that is a part of the new collection is the limited edition Audi model (1/18 on the scale) of the Audi Front 225 Roadster from 1935 available in four colors priced at €228 (approx. $294).
