Maingear Axess HD brings high end gaming to the living room
Maingear Computers, manufacturer of high performance custom computers, is now bringing high end gaming to the living room with a new luxury gaming PC dubbed Axess HD Gamer. Built into a low profile aluminum case, the Axess HD Gamer has been created to integrate flawlessly into any home theater set up with existing A/V components. The luxury gaming PC boasts a Core i7 processor, up to 12GB of DDR3 memory, 2x NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT cards in SLI, a Phantom Lapboard and an array of media center capabilities, which include a Blu-ray drive, 8-channel audio with pre-amp, S/PDIF digital audio output, Internet TV, up to 4TB of hard drive storage and Vista Home Premium with its media center UI. Connectivity options include DVI-D, VGA, HDMI and component out, plus dual gigabit Ethernet, eight USB 2.0 ports, two 6-pin FireWire ports and eSATA. An OLED display on the front gives you the status information of the played content. Pricing starts at $1,799, but the system being highly configurable, it could set you back over $6,000.
