Mr. Race timepiece continues the Ladoire’s Black Widow saga

Naveen Kumar / Mar 10 2011

We have already introduced you to the new Black Widow collection from the Swiss horological company Ladoire Geneve. The collection, featuring the Mr. Green watch, is inspired by the nickname given to a highly venomous species of spider - Lactrodaectus Manctans. Lately, Ladoire gave Timezone an exclusive preview of three of its Black Widow Collection watches - Mr. Race, Mr. Green prototype and Mr. Grey watch. To be officially launched at the Baselworld 2011, the Black Widow Mr. Race watch with eye-catching red accents features the company’s Calvet/02 Calibre equipped with a micro-rotor.

The watch comes with the patented HMS Planetary time display complication with three rotating disks positioned on hi-tech ceramic ball bearings. The Black Widow Mr. Race watch also features a quickset GMT hand that automatically advances with the push of a button on the right side of the case. The open-worked dial and movement are decked out in white and red accents.

The timepiece flaunts a full-grain smooth leather strap with red top-stitching and a double pin buckle. Each model in the Ladoire Black Widow collection is limited to 12 timepieces.
